Located on the beautiful Seattle waterfront, the design of this Marriott marked several firsts for the brand. Departing from traditional environments, the hotel features clean, simple paneling, flooring, and architectural features that complement its contemporary building. A notable addition was the lobby bar, a first for Marriott at the time, now a standard in all new Marriott hotels and renovations since the completion of the Waterfront hotel. The project included the main lobby with various seating areas, a lobby bar for breakfast service and bar use, lower-level ballrooms and pre-function space, and a retail component. This project was a joint venture with Banik Cumby, Inc.
